According to the FBI, Mortgage Fraud is on the rise.  While the fraudsters are not always successful,  this experience is exhausting to resolve if you become a victim.

Nassau County offers a service, free of charge, to alert residents if someone attempts to file any documents against you or your property.  It only takes a few minutes to register.
