Greetings Neighbors:
Tropical storm IAN seems to be winding down and the winds will continue through the night but seem to be diminishing.
I did a slow drive through the neighborhood at about 4 PM today and was not able to see any home damage.
We did loose 3 trees. One at the front entrance on county property (pic below), one fell into our west pond, and another on the east end of MSC between two homes, Otherwise we have a lot of branches and the usual debris all over.
Our power went out about 3 PM and is still out.
It appears we have been lucky so far, and I will get back to you tomorrow morning with another update.
If I have missed anything please let me know.
We will put together a clean up plan in the next few days.
Some other news – the Tighes “meet and greet” party scheduled for tomorrow night has been postponed until next Friday evening – Oct 7th.
Our mayor Charlie Sciarini is reporting his liquor cabinet is running dry!
Let’s hope we have a non eventful night ahead and our prayers go out to the folks devastated in the southwest Florida coastal areas.
Best regards,
Bob Allison
