Dear Plantation Point Neighbors,
Please review the following information regarding our 2018 PPCA annual meeting. This letter will serve as the official notice of our annual meeting, to be held at the American Beach Community Center 1600 Julia Street, Fernandina Beach, Florida on Sunday, November 11, 2018, beginning at 4:00pm. The meeting will include a brief business agenda to include annual updates and director reports, voting on four (4) 2-year Director positions and any new business that needs to be discussed.
In order to ensure a successful and meaningful annual meeting, we need attendance and/or proxies from at least 51% (36) of our voting lot/home owners. The PPCA board is comprised of seven (7) director positions with alternating (two) 2 year terms. This year we have four (4) positions open for election. The four (4) current board members whose positions will require re-election are Bob Allison, Charlie Sciarini, Steve Placido and Rosa Haslip. Bob Allison, Rosa Haslip and Charlie Sciarini have decided to run for office. If anyone would like to serve on the board, we will need to know by Sunday November 4, 2018 in order to have the ballots and proxies printed for the annual meeting. All the candidates’ names will be included on the proxies. Candidates seeking to serve may submit a biographical letter to the board. All candidates’ letters will be distributed to the you prior to the meeting. This will speed up the voting process at the meeting. There will be no nominations from the floor on the day of the meeting. One property owner from each household is permitted to speak at the annual meeting for up to three minutes. Please advise us in advance so your name can be placed on the agenda.
The board recently approved our 2018 budget and annual assessment at our last meeting. A full report on the association’s finances will be provided at the annual meeting.
